November Book Club – On Wings Of Blood

Hey baddies!
November is here, and with it comes colder nights, darker skies, and that perfect excuse to dive into something rich, gothic, and a little dangerous.
This month, we’re reading On Wings of Blood by Briar Boleyn, a romantasy that’s been haunting BookTok feeds and TBR piles everywhere. It’s packed with tension, secrets, and slow-burning danger, wrapped in a world of vampires, power, and forbidden magic.
About the Book
After sacrificing herself to save her people, Medra Pendragon wakes up in a world ruled by Highblood vampires, where mortals are pawns, and the only way to survive is to play their game.
Forced to attend Bloodwing Academy, Medra finds herself trapped in a world of power, politics, and predators. She’s betrothed to a vampire prince who seems intent on breaking her spirit… until their connection becomes something far more complicated.
But there’s more to Medra than anyone realises. Whispers of dragon riders, thought to be long extinct, start to circle, and soon the lines between enemy, ally, and destiny begin to blur.
This book is full of dark romance, dangerous allure, and the kind of slow-burn power dynamic that will have you dog-earing pages and gasping under your blanket at 2 a.m.

I have not started it yet, but it has been all over my feed lately, and everyone seems to be completely obsessed. From what I’m reading, it’s a So, as someone who is very late to the hype, I thought it was time to finally see what all the fuss is about. Even though we are partway through the month, I have a feeling this one will be easy to get lost in and quick to finish.
If you want to read along and take part in the discussion, join us in the Discord community. That is where we’ll be talking tropes, theories, favourite quotes, and everything unhinged that happens in between.
Not quite your genre? No worries. Sign up for the newsletter to get next month’s pick early (and maybe even vote on it).
And remember — tag your reading moments with #ReadLikeABaddie so I can see your setups, recs, and reactions.
Because if we’re going to lose ourselves in a book this month, it might as well be one that bites back. 🖤
