Okay so… I get why Silver Elite divides people, but I actually had such a good time with this book 👀

The world building was solid, the academy setting grabbed me instantly, and the cast had enough drama and personality to keep me fully invested. My only gripe? The FMC made some choices that honestly had me tilting my head like a confused dog. The romance could have really hit, but it rushed a moment that deserved slow-burn payoff.

Still, I inhaled it and I am 100 percent reading the sequel the minute it drops.

I managed to FINALLY get off of the waiting list for @smutandsipbox and what an edition to receive as my first 😍

Full review will be coming soon but I absolutely inhaled this book in 5 hours, giving it an instant 4⭐️

As well as receiving this gorgeous special edition with sprayed edges, I received two artworks, an exclusive enamel pin, exclusive stickers and a pumpkin spice espresso martini to gulp down alongside.

Won’t be cancelling my subscription anytime soon! 📚

This one had me hooked on the world, but not quite on the characters… 👀

On Wings of Blood by Briar Boleyn was such a strong start in terms of setting and lore — think Zodiac Academy meets Fourth Wing, with a gothic academy that completely scratched that fantasy itch I’ve been having lately. I loved the friendships, the world building, and the dark romantasy vibes, but the FMC just felt a bit too young for me, to the point where I was almost rolling my eyes. Plus, that enemies-to-lovers tension? Let’s just say I wanted more bite.

Still, I can’t lie, the world has me intrigued enough to keep going with book two, and I’m hoping for a darker, angstier sequel.
